Shirin Polo is one of the most delicious foods that you can eat. Persian food is all amazing but this is one of the dishes that Iranians use to celebrate; therefore, it is particularly important.

Wow I always wondered how this dish was made. This clarifies it a lot. One question: why use orange juice? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that.
jamak jon, i use orange juice to give back the smell of orange that has been lost by boiling the orange peels.
Thank you! Thant makes sense
Wow very beautiful! but i have a feed back for u Mr. Kshar, I think if u describe the smell, the taste and the texture of ur food while u r making it and while u r serving it or dishing it would make ur show more flavorful! Jamak jan good job. looking forward to see ur other videos.

im making your recipe for shirin polo tomorrow for some guests! But, I have a small problem… i only have whole chicken breasts! Can you tell me what I can do with the chicken? thanks so much!
Hello, you can boil the kitchen breasts. put them in water with some oion, salt and pepper for 20 min. and then sock it in the juice of the sauce and then it is ready to be used with the rice. let me know how it turned out. keep it cooking.
Hello,
I have three questions:
Do we have to place the orange peels inside a bowl of water a night before, and then boil it the next day before mixing it with other items? When you say soak 3-4 times, do you means boil and rinse 3-4 times?
Second, how many minutes should we let the syrup cook?
And lastly, how come you don’t put the pistachios in the syrup along with almonds and everything else? Isn’t going to be dry and hard when you put it on the rice at the end?
Thank you
Salam Kamiar jon, first of all, orange peels need to be boiled two or three time and rinsed, 3 to 4 times, that should do it. 2nd, you cook the syrup for at least 45 to an hour so it is reduced. you want it to be syrupy like. and lastly, I do mix some almonds with the syrup and some i do put on top with pistachios, it looks better and finished this way, if you mix it all with syrup it will not look the same. Please try it your way and see how you like it. You may like it . Thank you and please let me know how it turned out. keep it cooking.
Mr. Kshar,
What happened to your shireenpolo videos? I was looking forward to watching them! Nothing is loading
try it again, it should be there. you can also start using tofu instead of meat in rice dishes like bubia polo, albalo polo, and etc. let me know how it turned out please. keep it cooking.
Kshar khan,
I promise you there is no videos for shirinpolo which is a shame, I love it very much and wanted to learn so bad how to make it! I’ve watched all your videos and this was the last one.
By the way, I’m looking forward to buy your spice mixes.
As for tofu, I made zereshk polo, and added some tofu along with chicken, awesome!
Thank you for all you do for us Iranians…
Mercy NOOSHEEN khanoom, did you find the shrin polo or not? Please let me know, keep it cooking
Yes, Kshar khan, I went to YouTube and found it there. Just finished watching it again since I want to make it tomorrow. So I’m going to soak my orange peels tonight. You’re the greatest Persian cook/ teacher I’ve ever known. Lucky your wife!
Now, I’m going to ask you to please keep it cooking and teaching us! Can’t wait for your cookbook to come out!
Btw, I don’t know if you’ve ever made a adasi recipe, some nights it would be fun and simple to eat.
Merci,
N
yes you will love my recipe. it is good for cold and rainy days. keep it cooking.
