Sizdah Bedar

Sizdah in Farsi means thirteen and Bedar means ‘getting rid of’. Persians all across the world go out and celebrate on the Thirteen of Farvardin (the thirteen day of new year). Some say that this is because 13 is considered an unlucky number but there are other stories out there as well.

Traditionally, many cook Ash Reshteh & Baghali Polo. I have demonstrated how to prepare both of these in previous videos on KSharTV. So I decided to yet again evoke your creativity by going outside the box and putting together something special for you. here is the video:

Nice job KShar! I had never thought of the sofreh as a method of carrying the dishes, cups and utensils, what a fantastic idea for a picinic setting.
Yes in this and life, it is all about what one brings to the table, isn’t it?
