Dampokhtak

by on July 6, 2011

Dampokhtak is a very traditional dish that is cooked with Yellow Fava beans and rice. Videos give you step by step details on how to cook it for yourself. The last video, will show you a KShar style presentation of this dish.

Hi, Thanks for the great video,
a quick question for you, what can i use for the spice, Turmeric or Safaran? and do you use any of these for this dish?

Thanks

KShar March 9, 2012 at 12:41 am

Hello, Nilofar khanoom, for this dish i only use turmeric only, that is where the color come from. Keep it cooking.

Hi Kshar jan, thanks a lot for the clips. So interesting. I just have a question about this clip while you were frying onion. It seemed that there was something except the oil in the pot. Am I right? Before adding turmeric, the onions in the movie has almost a dark color. Did you add anything beside oil to fry onion? Thanks a lot.

KShar March 19, 2012 at 4:15 am

No my friend, some times video is darker than usual.
