Dear KShar,
I must tell you I am enjoying so much your cooking videos. You explainations are perfect and easy to understand. I was not cooking for awhile traditional foods but since seeing your videos I cook them almost everyday. Your personal touch to the foods you make are very beautiful. I especially liked the flowers you put after making the rice with tadeck. It looked like a hat, so sweet!

love your videos. I make lot’s of these dishes since I love Persian food and am married to an Iranian man for 19 yrs.
I am on a fairly low-carb diet myself, and we need to go easy on the rice (both of us)! any low-carb recipes like the koo-koos or meatballs we can have with little or no rice would be appreciated! Khailee Mamnoon!

KShar September 25, 2011 at 1:31 am

Hello Cynthia, I will , but in the mean while there are a lot of khoraks, and kokos, that you can make and serve without rice. keep it cooking

I’m not persian, but this is one of my favourite dishes! We would make it at home all the time, but unfortunately we can’t find zereshk in Hong Kong, nor are there any delivery services for persian products here… here’s what my version looks like :)

looks beautiful. I was going to suggest to you dry cranberries. You are amazing and love your work.

FigFondue April 11, 2012 at 3:24 am

Thanks, KShar. Do dried cranberries really work as good substitutes for zereshk?

KShar April 12, 2012 at 12:36 am

Nothing is like the real thing , but chop it a bit and try it. it is the best substitute. Let me know please.

Shayan November 8, 2012 at 12:51 am

Hi , hope you are doing well. I have question about the color of your saffron, it is kind of red not yellow, would you please tell me how you make your saffron, do you mix it with ice and then hot water? looking forward to hearing from you.

KShar November 12, 2012 at 2:38 am
